Deleting your Ledger account
Ledger, the monthly expense tracker by Silow
You can delete your Ledger account and everything stored with it at any time, from the app or by email.
From the app
- Open Ledger and go to Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
Your account is deleted from our servers straight away, and the ledger on that phone is erased, leaving the app as it was when first installed.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email privacy@silow.net from the email address you signed in with, asking us to delete your Ledger account. We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm the request from the address on the account first, so that nobody can delete an account that isn't theirs.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in, including your Google sign-in link and any passkeys
- Every entry, category and repeat synced to the account, and which months you added or skipped
- All receipt photos uploaded from any of your phones
We keep none of it. Deleted data may remain in our hosting provider's routine backups for a limited time before it is overwritten. If you emailed us, we keep that email only as a record of your request.
What deleting doesn't reach
- Your other phones. Another phone that was signed in to the account keeps the copy already on it, and stops syncing. Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android's settings, on that phone to remove it.
- Ledgers never synced. If you used Ledger without signing in, your data was only ever on your phone. Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android's settings, to remove it.
- Android backups. A backup Android made to your Google account is managed in Android's settings.
Read the privacy policy for how Ledger handles your data.
